July 2014 - Although The Hanley Brothers have taken a slight hiatus from filmmaking, they have spent the last few years working on personal projects (their joint script is also still in the works). Tyler has been highly focused on writing his novel, while Nathan has written a graphic novel and is working his way through the art (which is currently about 75% complete). Nathan's band Jayati will also release their debut album "Central Sun" on iTunes on July 24th, 2014.

January 2014 - The Hanley Brothers have completed the first part of their newest script "Calm". The story focuses on a group of old friends that become snowed in during a blizzard at a quaint cabin. Their only entertainment an old radio, which brings in news of something much more dire than a blizzard taking place outside...

January 2013 - Since the completion of "Table for Six", Nathan and Tyler have been focusing on a number of projects. A joint new script is in the early phases, while Tyler has been working on a novel that has long been on his mind, and Nathan has completed 40 pages of art for his graphic novel. More news in the near future!

February 2011 - "Table for Six" has been added to the IMDb database, and you can now watch the film's trailer on IMDb. Screenings have brought praise on the film, however The Hanley Brothers have not decided on a means for distribution as of yet. They have, however, begun discussion on their next script idea...

June 2010 - "Table for Six" has been completed. The film will soon begin the festival entry phase. Check for news in the screenings section of the official "Table for Six" website, and watch the trailer... www.tableforsixmovie.com

September 2009 - A final cut of "Table for Six" seems to be on the horizon. Some minor final touches are still being added, and there are a few music and sound considerations to be made, but the majority of editing work is complete. Keep watching the news section for updates, and be on the lookout for the "Table for Six" website to be launched soon.

March 28, 2009 - Editing continues on "Table for Six."

January 7, 2009 - The Hanley brothers appear on "Movie Close-Up with Bonnie Steiger", a half-hour show dedicated to independent film in and around San Francisco. They discuss "Table for Six" as well as their past projects.

November 24, 2008 - Shooting wraps on "Table for Six."

November 6, 2008 - Principal photography begins on "Table for Six." The picture will be shot entirely in Palo Alto, Calif. and stars Jon Ingbretson, Roneet Aliza Rahamim, Anita Argent, Fiona Lawson, Will Johnson, Vonn Scott Bair, Yeena Fisher and Stephen Boisvert.

September 2008 - Casting for The Hanley Brothers upcoming project "Table for Six" will be held in Palo Alto, CA. on September 27th, 2008.

June 2008 - The Hanley Brothers have finished typing "Table for Six." Shooting is scheduled to begin on November 6th, 2008.

May 2008 - Doces the Bunny's 1997 EP "Happy Wednesday" is finally available on various music sites, including iTunes and Napster.

April 2008 - Nathan's debut solo acoustic album "Afterthought" is now available on iTunes and Napster.

March 2008 - The Hanley Brothers have completed the first hand-written draft of "Table for Six." They are currently in the typing process.

• December 2007 - Nathan (vocals/keyboard) forms the band Jayati with friends Rich Christensen (drums) and Michael Cogar (guitar).

September 2007 to January 2008 - The Hanley Brothers are currently co-writing the screenplay "Table for Six," a mystery centered around a tragic death and a family dinner five years later. The script will become their fourth feature. Once the screenplay is completed, early pre-production will begin. Ideally principal photography will begin before the end of 2008.

August 16, 2007 - Harvest records a ten-song acoustic album entitled "Vinegar Hill," as a companion piece to 2001's "Perry Lane." The CD was recorded at Ishlab in Brooklyn and contains six brand new songs, as well as four old favorites. All of the Harvest CDs are now available in the shop, and samples can be heard in the Harvest songs section.

• July 2007 - The Hanley Brothers come up with a concept and title for their collaborative screenplay and fourth feature.

• March 2007 - The Hanley Brothers begin talking about the possibility of co-writing a script for the first time as their next feature.

• January 2007 - www.mirrorimageentertainment.com gets a facelift.

• June 2006 - The Hanley Brothers launch Mirror Image Entertainment online, at www.mirrorimageentertainment.com.

• March 7, 2006 - "Rehearsal" screens at the Parkway speakeasy theater in Oakland, Calif., as part of a Local Filmmakers Showcase. The filmmakers and several cast members attend the presentation and participate in a Q&A session after the screening.

• Jan. 13, 2006 - "Rehearsal" premieres at the Aquarius Theatre in Palo Alto, Calif., to a sold-out crowd. The entire cast and crew are on hand for the debut and a Q&A session follows the packed screening.

• Jan. 6, 2006 - The Palo Alto Weekly publishes an article entitled "The Brothers Grim," about the production of "Rehearsal."

• January 2006 - Nathan and Tyler Hanley announce they will be doing business as Mirror Image Entertainment via a legal print in The Almanac newspaper in Menlo Park, Calif. The goal is to provide an outlet for independent filmmakers and musicians, beginning with the Hanleys themselves.

• Aug. 13, 2005 - Shooting wraps on "Rehearsal."

• June 4, 2005 - Principal photography begins in Menlo Park, Calif., for "Rehearsal."

• May 7, 2005 - Casting begins on "Rehearsal." The Hanley Brothers and Harley inform the actors that much of the film's shooting will occur on overnight weekends at Harley's family cabin in Bear Valley.

• November 2004 - Nathan and Tyler Hanley meet fellow independent film producer J. Jesse Harley and together the three begin pre-production discussions on "Rehearsal." Meanwhile, Tyler Hanley finishes writing his first feature-length screenplay, "Welcome to Atlantis."

• May 2004 - Nathan begins writing a screenplay entitled "Rehearsal," partially based on his and Tyler's actual low-budget filmmaking experiences.

• January 2004 - Nathan Hanley embarks on a solo music endeavor by playing intimate shows around the Bay Area, recording a four-song demo CD and launching www.nathanhanley.com.

• August 2003 - Michael Flynn travels back to the Bay Area from Boston and Harvest is briefly reunited. The band spends the summer perfoming shows in California cities such as San Luis Obispo, San Mateo and San Francisco.

• January 2003 - Harvest guitarist Michael Flynn is accepted to Harvard University Graduate School of Design to study landscape architecture. His move to Boston, Mass., sidelines the band, though all three musicians continue to play on their own.

• Nov. 2, 2002 - "The Vigilante Memoirs" screens at the Foothill College theater. The audience includes cast, critics and other members of the film community.

• Aug. 2, 2002 - Harvest records a 10-song album entitled "Entertaining the Notion."

• May 2002 - Nathan and Tyler begin shooting "The Vigilante Memoirs." It's the first film the pair direct together. Following the guidelines of the Dogme Manifesto, the brothers use natural lighting and hand-held camerawork to give the picture a gritty feel.

• April 2002 - Nathan and Tyler Hanley cast "The Vigilante Memoirs." Unable to find a good pair to portray brothers Donovan and Dole Carsen, the Hanleys reluctantly decide to play the roles themselves. The casting session would also prove especially valuable to Harvest, as actor David Machlan would join the band as drummer.

• March 23, 2002 - Harvest performs live at Whole Foods' Spring Fever fair in Palo Alto, Calif.

• Sept. 22, 2001 - Harvest records an all-acoustic 10-song album entitled "Perry Lane." The songlist includes "Soak It Up" and "For What You Are."

• Aug. 26, 2001 - Harvest performs live at the Palo Alto Festival of the Arts. The festival appearance is the band's first public performance and a DVD is later produced for friends and fans to mark the occassion.

• August 2001 - Inspired by the Dogme Manifesto filmmaking technique used in films such as "The Celebration," Nathan begins writing a screenplay entitled "The Vigilante Memoirs."

• June 16, 2000 - "Duck Duck Goose" screens at midnight to a packed house at the Aquarius Theatre in Palo Alto.

• June 16, 2000 - The Palo Alto Weekly in Palo Alto, Calif., runs a story about Nathan Hanley and Tyler Hanley entitled "Blood Brothers." The article, written by Arts & Entertainment Editor Robyn Israel, covers the production and premiere of "Duck Duck Goose."

• September 1999 - The Hanleys begin production on "Duck Duck Goose."

• August 1999 - Former classmates and longtime musicians Nathan Hanley and Michael Flynn reunite and form the band Harvest.

• February 1999 - Budgetary concerns force the Hanleys to scrap plans to shoot "The Trial of Bruno Gallagher" in 35 mm format. Instead the brothers focus on producing a more cost-conscious digital feature and Nathan quickly writes "Duck Duck Goose."

• August 1998 - Tyler Hanley completes the Summer Training Congress program at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, Calif. Tyler earns the role of Simon Shashava in the "red" company's season-ending performance of Bertolt Brecht's "The Caucasian Chalk Circle." Nathan finishes his fourth feature-length screenplay, "The Trial of Bruno Gallagher."

• November 1997 - "The Black Knights" screens at the Missouri Film and Video Festival in Missouri.

• Sept. 12, 1997 - "The Black Knights" screens at the Tacoma Tortured Artists Film Festival in Tacoma, Wash.

• June 21, 1997 - "The Black Knights" screens at the Foothill College theater to a respectable audience that includes film critic Jeanne Aufmuth and radio host Tim Sika. The screening would earn the Hanleys an appearance on Sika's show, "Celluloid Dreams."

• February 1997 - The Hanleys shoot their fifth and final short, "The Black Knights." For the first time they work with actor Anthony Spears, who would become a lead performer in the Hanleys' first two feature films.

• September 1996 - Doces the Bunny records a five-song demo CD in Menlo Park, Calif.

• June 1996 - Nathan studies screenwriting from professor Winter Mead through Stanford University's Continuing Studies Program and writes the script "A Change of Direction."

• August 1995 - The Hanleys' produce their fourth short, "Quicksand." Working with their largest cast to date (primarily of friends with little acting experience) and first fully non-improvised script, the Hanleys turn to the Media Center in Palo Alto for editing and production input. Nathan finishes writing his second feature-length screenplay, "The Domino Effect."

• April 1995 - Nathan writes and directs the Hanleys' third short, entitled "Blackout." The story -- about a vigilante reaction to sexual harassment -- would become a recurring theme for the Hanleys. The heavily improvised picture also features several cast and crew members the Hanleys would continue to work with, including Trent Oler, Andrew Nishimura and Angella Frische.

• November 1994 - The Hanleys film their second short, "Calm," about a friendly gathering that unexpectedly becomes a hostage situation. The Hanleys enlist the help of several talented friends (including Steve Mack, whom they would collaborate with on three other short films) to flesh out the cast and crew. Nathan shoots and edits the picture as part of a film program at Foothill College. Meanwhile, Nathan pens the feature-length screenplay, "P.O.V."

• August 1994 - Nathan Logan Hanley and Tyler Hanley (The Hanley Brothers) film their first short, "After the Incident." The story centers around a girl abused by her uncle and her boyfriend's dangerous reaction. The Hanleys' novice approach includes recording both sound and music on a hefty 3/4" video camera.

• March 1992 - Nathan Hanley, Michael Paine and Tyler Hanley meet in the garage of the Hanleys' Menlo Park home to play music. Nathan (vocals/guitar), Michael (guitar) and Tyler (drums) soon dub themselves Doces the Bunny -- based on a cartoon rabbit of Nathan's creation -- and begin performing at small venues in the Bay Area.
